With terraforming becoming a popular event, much of the galaxy is occupied in the year 2395. The humans have divided themselves into three alliances, mostly based on strict political ideals. Even after a long-lasting bloody war against the aggresive alien species designated WEH-83D, renamed Praelor, the people are still divided. Space travel through wormholes is as common as air travel was in the 20th century, and it's rare for a person not to own a ship and bounce from planet to planet at their leisure, for there is much to do in Miriani. From shopping for clothes to hauling asteroids for cash to space combat missions for experience, few find themselves with nothing to do. Gaining the experience of small combat is essential for young pilots, because there is always talk of the Praelor returning to claim Miriani space as their own. Vicious creatures that will let nothing stand in their way, the Praelor have little regard for lives that are not their own. Will you be a pilot brave enough to get scratched up, sacrifice a ship and some sanity?

Miriani is a MOO currently in open-beta. And as the game is still in beta, changes are occuring every day. A list of some of the features that Miriani currently has:

- Customizable color
- Asteroid Hauling
- Mining
- Combat Missions
- Couriering
- Salvaging Debris
- Fishing
- Atmospheric Salvaging
- Artifacting

Some features that are in the works:

- Trading system
- Relic Hunting
- Ground Assault Missions
- Archaeology
- Computer Repair
- AND MUCH MORE!

There are three alliances to choose from when starting out on the game: The Hale Collective, Alliance of Interstellar Expansionists, and the Commonwealth of Free Spirits (of which I am a member).

There are numerous ship classes, ranging from the one-person cargo haulers to the ten-person battle cruisers. And there is something for everyone, whether you enjoy fighting, or exploring, or just socializing.

Our average players range from 10 to 30 at all times of the day, although on rare occassions late at night we drop down to five or six.
